A single bite of the Muffin of Mage’s Faithful Hound bestows the ethereal loyalty of a mystical canine companion and his water bowl.

As per the D&D spell ‘Mage’s Faithful Hound,’ the consumer summons a phantom watchdog which stays in a place of their choosing and alerts the consumer of approaching enemies. The hound disappears once the muffin’s magic has expended its protective services, and not when the scene ends like other Magical Baked Goods.

Unlike most consumables the user may resummon the Mage’s Faithful Hound by touching his water bowl and passing a DC10 check. Failure destroys the bowl. The user may roll Wits + Animal Ken and spend a WillPower when summoning the dog to attempt to change it’s directive and dispelling condition.
